Z28-150 Thread Rolling Machine

The Z28-150 is an upgraded model based on many years of design and manufacturing experience.

1. One-piece cast frame for greater rigidity.
2. Wiring passages and threaded tooling bosses are cast into the frame, simplifying automatic loading and unloading.
3. Optional VFD motor and inverter give stepless spindle speed.

Rigid, quiet and reliable, the machine rolls ordinary, trapezoidal and module threads with high accuracy, and can also form, burnish and knurl. Universal-shaft drive, automatic lubrication, and manual, foot-pedal or automatic control keep operation simple. With the appropriate dies it produces many sizes of standard and special bolts.

Application. External threads including ordinary, trapezoidal and module threads, plus forming, burnishing and knurling, on carbon and alloy steels and non-ferrous metals with elongation above 10% and compressive strength below 100 kgf/mm².

Structure. Two spindles rotate synchronously in the same direction while the right spindle feeds horizontally, pressing the workpiece between the dies. Main assemblies are the bed, gearbox, fixed spindle head, moving spindle head, hydraulic system and electrical controls. Centre distance is adjusted on each head so the workpiece runs on the machine centreline, which also makes it easy to pass long parts through. Spindle axis angle is adjustable within ±3°, and axial feed per revolution depends on the part and material.
